21st Birthday Party at Hemisphere for 200 Pax: We got back to Joburg late last night! Craig, Kirsty and I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to you, Peter and all your staff for the most amazing service and delicious food. Debs – you made the whole planning experience an absolute pleasure and I cannot express enough gratitude to you for the way in which you handled all the preparation and planning so willingly and professionally, making my side of planning Kirsty’s birthday celebration from far away so much easier.   Everyone I have spoken to since the event has commented on the delicious variety of food. Sunday was spent lying around discussing the party and people and the fabulous food!!   Once again thank you all so much – you went way beyond my expectation and I am truly grateful to you all. 50th Birthday Party at Solms Delta Wine Estate for 220 Pax: Mark and I, and our family and guests, thank you all, for an extraordinary function yesterday. It was an extraordinary and unique function, because of your highly astute and careful assessment of what we, in particular, needed. All afternoon people were literally raving about your food, while they were eating it, and I am writing in today, to say that our guests were saying repeatedly, that it was the most delicious menu that they have had at any function ever. (Lushel and I saw many guests rubbing their abdomens, when saying what they felt!). I was struck by the very quiet, warm, but speedy and effective way in which you and all of your staff-teams got things done! We never felt intruded upon at all, but simultaneously, no-one at the party lacked for anything at all, or waited for your help. The food and drink were produced, served and cleared away as if magically.   Our own staff loved working with all of you, so the feeling was indeed mutual. In all of the ways above, I therefore thank you for our culinary music and dance, that complemented our musical party so beautifully!   I feel so happy to know that we can call upon you, when our future functions arise, and your best advertising is sure to be the experience of guests, and word-of-mouth……

Professor Jakes Grewels 65th Birthday at Artscape Theatre for 700 Pax: I would like to thank and congratulate you for an excellent function last night! Thank you very much for going the extra mile – when I asked for red & white striped straws you got the straws – I mentioned “commin containers” for the breyani and meant retro – you got the brief perfectly!   We have received numerous compliments and not one little bit of criticism! The staff were professional and looked after the guests well and thank you so much for our doggie bags in a Wilson Toffee box – I shared mine this morning at the office and there were ooohs and aaaahs from all over. I look forward to working with you again.

40th Birthday Party in Stellenbosch for 120 Pax: My expectations were high, but you’ve exceeded all of them.   Everything, the food, your service, having you around – all was SUPERB!!! I cannot thank you enough – and I received soooooo many compliments for my choice of caterers (and there were a few foodies at the party).

Suite Hospitality – Rugby – DHL STORMERS VS WESTERN FORCE for 30 Pax: The soup was divine. I happened to be in the suite when the food was delivered by your two chefs who I must tell you were excellent in ensuring that the platters were laid out and “dried “ from all the rain.   Their attention to detail was brilliant especially the instructions around warming up the soup. Well done & thank you.   Once again, many thanks for the great service and awesome food.

Housewarming, combined with 40th Birthday Party for 150 Pax: Hi Debs and Jess. Thank you for an absolutely superb party – food and drinks organisation was fantastic! I would highly recommend both Sense of Taste and Twentyone_allin! I do want to give you some feedback from the party: The food was exceptional!! Our guests loved the food, had multiple servings of many of the dishes (the curry and the burgers were particularly well-received, and the crème brulee and brownies too!) and have raved about the food many times subsequent to the party. So, thank you, thank you, thank you for contributing in huge part to the success of our party! My one BIG regret is that neither my husband nor I managed to taste much of the food at all – because we were yapping and dancing away with our friends most of the evening. I managed to have 1 delicious vegetable spring roll & my vegetarian burger that you & Ella so VERY kindly ensured that I had, and my husband had 3 vegetable spring rolls. Both the spring rolls & the burger were wonderful – and I loved the sweet & elegant way everything was served! So, thank you once again for excellent food & service – and I must assure you, as I believe you were quite worried on the evening because I wasn’t eating anything, that the food was wonderful! (I was just talking too much!) I wish we had another reason to throw a big party soon, as I would request Sense of Taste’s services in a heartbeat!!

21st Birthday Party for 80 Pax: Once again a huge thank you to Debs and her team for making Stephen’s 21st the success that it was – our friends and family are still talking about it! The food, as always, was awesome and beautifully presented. We must also compliment your sister company, XL Spirit for supplying really great, fun bar staff and waiters – definitely helped with the success of the party! It was a pleasure dealing with you – always a professional and hassle-free experience. Thank for so much for everything!
