With international as well as local exposure and experience, Chef Peter decided to start his catering company, Sense of Taste!  Having started with himself and one staff member in 2002, the business has grown and developed brilliantly and is rated highly, as one of the best catering companies in South Africa. Sense of Taste now has 20 permanent employees and two state of the art kitchens, which enables Chef Peter and the team to make the most incredible and sumptuous menus for all occasions.

Another very prestigious occasion was the birthday celebration for Professor Jakes Gerwel, a delicious canapé bowl dinner for 600 guests held at the Artscape Theatre, followed by a superb show by David Kramer. A huge honour was to personally prepare the favourite meal (oxtail) of Ex President, Nelson Mandela during the opening of the Nelson Mandela Gateway in V&A Waterfront. And for the same event, Chef Peter and his team catered for 2 000 guests for this memorable occasion.

Chef Ayub and his team have had the privilege to cook for Ruby Wax, Deputy President of South Africa, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, Dr Mamphela Aletta Ramphele, Jamie Foxx, the English Cricket Team, as well Beyonce & J-Z. Sense of Taste did the event for Kim and Khloe Kardashian at the famous Athol Fugard Theatre, a spectacular event for 400 guests in conjunction with Brutal Fruit.
